Night Out: ASA Showcase @ UMCP

I went  ASA aka African Student Association showcase this pass Saturday. My cousin Rex ask me to go because he was the main Characters in the play and one of the models, so I went to support him. I'm going this out good, so the show was good. the fashion show was amazing. I wish I had pictures but my camera was full :-( which sucks. I like how the designers incorporate African fabric with everyday wear. I'm going to try to upload pictures. I will also get the names of the designers that presented their lines and have y'all check them out.

 Now  lets move on to the bad. . . . The show was suppose to begin at 6:30pm but instead it started at 8pm o'clock. I arrived around 6 with my aunt and uncle(cousin's parents).We had to get their before it started because Rex need his suit brought before the show,so do the math. . . I waited over an hour. I when I arrived to the they were still doing mic check and practicing on stage. It seemed that they were unprepared. During the show, the opening act was a poet and she failed twice then walked off stage to get her poem so she can read it off paper. She actually did good even though she F**KED UP. The play was good but they separated by parts, so each part was minute or two long. After each part there was a fashion show, performance, trivia, contest, or etc. I felt that their were too much of that and they should have edited some parts. it seemed that they had great ideas and didn't want to cut things out. Another I didn't like was the chose of music the DJ played because he choose unedited music at a family event. For example, one song said, " I like my pussy bald. . . I want fuck my bitch in a peak coat. ... " you can figure out the rest. One fashion show consist of man walking down with no shirts and pants low enough that you see their V shape. It was uncomfortable to watch next to my aunt and uncle and knowing that is a family event. . . AWKWARD. . .  Thirdly the show was soooooooo F'ING LONG.  The ended at 11:59. What a day
